Aspire Booking is owned and operated by Bettie McReynolds-Milligan. She considers entrepreneurship her “spinoff” career.
Bettie spent over 30 years in the field of Early Childhood Education and Child Development, managing corporately owned child care centers and preschools, and later providing consulting services to the same. After so many years of running a business for other entities, the transition to owning her own was an easy decision. As well, coming from a family of musicians, it was a no-brainer to become involved in the burgeoning career of her nephew, a Grammy, Stellar and Dove Award winning singer and songwriter after retiring from the education field. The merging of her love for music, experience in the music industry and entrepreneurial spirit resulted in the creation of Aspire Booking.
A true creative, she enjoys crafting, sewing, gardening, writing, event planning and occasional acting but nothing more than live and recorded music. Now after eight years of booking and management, she is poised to take Aspire Booking to its next level working exclusively with a select group of truly gifted artists from across the globe.
Bettie lives in the Chicago area and has two adult children, a 96 year old Mom whom she cares for, and two “grand dogs” and is a 14 year cancer survivor.
With little interest in slowing down, she also owns 14th Street Vintage, which in addition to operating online and pop-up stores, provided the set design for Jonathan McReynolds’ “Make Room” live concert and television special as well as costuming for Echo Theatre Collective’s “Blues for Mr. Charlie”. She remains active in her community by spearheading events for her local Block Club, mentoring teens through local not for profits, and sponsoring numerous children all over the world. She sits on the board of Restored Hope Chicago, an organization that promotes healing from trauma.
Always grateful for God’s favor and mercy, she is committed to reaching out to help whomever, however she can.
